Foam Materials
Foamworks carries a wide range of foam materials available in various densities, dimensions, and colors. From standard plastic corrugated sheets to intricate crosslink foam case inserts, we can design and fabricate foam material into any size or shape.
Crosslink Foam (X-Link, CLPE) – High-density, tear-resistant crosslink foam is designed for durability and reusability, making it ideal for heavy duty storage and shipping applications. Foamworks stocks various densities of crosslink foam, and custom fabricates packaging and dunnage using waterjet cutting. Crosslink foam is commonly used in the automotive, electronics, medical, and pharmaceutical industries.
Polyurethane Foam (PU Foam) – Open cell polyurethane foam is lightweight and versatile, and is generally used for custom packaging and bedding. Using die cutting and CNC cutting. Foamworks can fabricate PU foam into any shape. Polyurethane foam is available in a wide range of colors and densities.
Polyethylene Foam (PE Foam) – Cost-effective, closed cell polyethylene foam provides advanced shock absorption and acoustic dampening. Loose fill polyurethane foam and PE foam endcaps are used in custom packaging to mitigate vibration. PE foam does not mildew or rot, is used for automotive dunnage, athletic equipment, and electronics packaging.
Plastic Corrugated – Returnable, versatile plastic corrugated is a cost-effective alternative to wood, paper, and fiberboard, providing chemical resistance and enhanced protection from harsh weather conditions.
Fabric Bags – Automotive fabric bags, also known automotive pouches, are commonly used by suppliers to ship various parts to and from assembly lines. Fabric bags can be configured with plastic corrugated or Luan dividers for added rigidity and stiffness.
HDPE – Tear-resistant high density polyethylene features a higher tensile strength than traditional polyethylene, and is able to withstand temperatures up to 120° C. HDPE is combined with fluted plastic to create plastic corrugated.
Visco Elastic – Commonly referred to as memory foam, visco elastic has become popular in the bedding industry for pillows, mattress toppers, mattresses, and rehabilitation positioning products. Visco elastic can be manipulated by heat, changing shape depending on the contour of the heat source.
Filtration Foams –Open Cell filtration Foams are used for fluid filtering of chemicals and oils used in forced air or convection air small engines, humidifiers, furnaces, condenser coils, electronic air cleaners, and refrigerators. Filtration foam is available in various pores per inch depending on your filtering application.
Eperan Foams – Eperan foam, commonly known as beaded plank foam, is similar in appearance to Styrofoam and is available in thicker planks than crosslink foam. We offer various densities of Eperan foam, and can waterjet cut your product into any size or shape. Eperan foam is commonly used for electronics packaging and home appliance components. We also carry Eperan class A surface foam.
Drainable Foams – Drainable foam, a relatively new foam material, is used in the throughout the marine and outdoor furniture industries. Drainable foam is designed for rapid drying to prevent staining and mildew. We offer a wide variety of densities, and can cut drainable foams into custom shapes and sizes.
